Lebanon Reports One Fatality, Five Injuries in Israeli Airstrike
The news outlet reported that an Israeli drone hit a Range Rover in Kafra, a town situated in the central part of the southern border region.
Lebanon’s Public Health Emergency Operations Center confirmed the attack’s toll: one fatality and five injuries. A Lebanese army intelligence source identified the deceased as Ali Qaraouni, described as a local Hezbollah official.
In a related event, the news outlet stated that an Israeli drone released several bombs near a stone factory on the outskirts of Yaroun village, located in the Bint Jbeil district.
Since November 27, 2024, a ceasefire brokered by the U.S. and France between Hezbollah and Israel has largely halted hostilities sparked by the Gaza conflict. Nevertheless, Israel continues to carry out occasional strikes in Lebanon, citing threats linked to Hezbollah, while maintaining military presence at five key positions along the Lebanese border.
