Swiss Commentator Calls Out Israeli Bobsledder

(MENAFN) A Swiss broadcaster publicly criticized a member of the Israeli bobsled squad for expressing support for acts widely condemned as genocide during a live segment.

Stefan Renna, a commentator for a media outlet, revealed that Adam Edelman, who competes in the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Games, openly identifies as a Zionist and has shared multiple posts on social media backing what he described as Israel's actions in Gaza.

Renna highlighted the use of the word "genocide" by the United Nations International Commission of Inquiry on Gaza, noting: "I am familiar with this terminology. Edelman described Israel's military intervention as the most moral and just war in history."

The Swiss sports analyst also pointed out that Israel faces allegations of genocide, raising concerns about its role in international sporting bodies. Renna further referenced the case of Ukrainian skeleton racer Vladyslav Heraskevych, who was prohibited from wearing a helmet displaying images of war victims from his nation.
